We slept together and he nerve call me back..now he is back and wants to see me?

I meat this guy a few months ago... We went on a few dates.. The last time I saw him was on 4th n that is the day that we slept together. The only reason I took it that far with him is because we had a lot in common he was the perfect gentleman we had fun when ever we were together. So after that day he never called. Yesterday by accident I send him a tex message but I send him an other tex letting him know that it was not for him. So to my surprise he tex me back. I told him exactly how I felt and that he was an A**H**E. He apologized for what he did and he said he doesn’t want me to hate him. He wants to make it up to me and take me out. Should I go for it or forget about it.
