How do I know if I'm actually in a relationship?

I know this is an odd question....I'm 21 and I can never quite tell if what I am in is just "dating" or "in a relationship". I know what a relationship feels like and I'm leaning towards that with this guy I've been dating for about a month now. He tries to see me everyday and seldom does he not, even if its for a only a few minutes. He tells me everything about his life...even checks in with me and calls to let me know that he's ok and I don't even ask him to. He likes to hug me and hold me, even tells me just about every time that he missed me. Oh, and he likes to take me out to different places....different restaurants in the big city, walks to the park, he even told his parents about me. But I am afraid to bring up the subject though I'm dying to know whether or not we are in an actual relationship. I don't want to scare off this guy. I really like him and its hard to find for me because I'm picky. So please help on this one! How do I know? What definite hints should I look for or how/should I go about asking him about it? If you need more info just ask.....
