Do speeding tickets effect your driving?

This question reminded me of my grandmother who was a horrible driver and a speed demon for sure. She is the only person that I know of that the police officer had to pursue her all the way home and issue her speeding ticket in the driveway since she wouldn't acknowledge his sirens or lights. She's lucky he didn't take her to jail but he probably cut her some slack since she was only a mile from home. lol Absolutely none of the family ever wanted to go any where with her due to being scared the whole time.
