I think it sounds like he's being sincere. He got the guts to spill his feelings to you when he'd been drinkin, but then he came back and confirmed it - multiple times - sober. If you want to give him another shot, go for it. Just make sure it wasn't a drunk dial that turned into, "Wow! She'll still talk to me? Maybe I WILL call her tomorrow..." Take it slow, see where it goes. Only you know what you want out of a relationship.
